Lapsang Souchong Tea Chinese Black Tea with Strong & Smoky Flavour , organic black tea

Description:

Black tea is a type of tea that is more oxidized than oolong, green and white teas. All four types are made from leaves of the shrub (or small tree) Camellia sinensis. Black tea is generally stronger in flavor than the less oxidized teas.

Generally, 2.25 grams of tea per 200 ml of water, or about a teaspoon of black tea per 8 oz. cup, should be used. Unlike green teas, which turn bitter when brewed at higher temperatures, black tea should be steeped in freshly boiled water, around 90℃ to 95℃. When the tea has brewed long enough to suit the tastes of the drinker, it should be strained while serving.

If stronger flavor is desired, add more tea, not time. Highlighted teas will taste bitter if infused longer than the suggested time.

If brewing 2 or more teas together, follow instructions for the tea with the shortest time and lowest temperature.
